A university that is wanting to gain recognition from the statuary body has to purchase:-
  • Furniture
  • Equipment
  • Computers
  • Different mobile and immobile assets
The cost of all the above-mentioned assets have to be tantamount to Rs. 20 lakhs.

  • Following this, each university has to procure the assets (equipment, furniture and infrastructural facilities except building) up to Rs. 1 crore. Such type of procurements has to be made within the first five years from the establishment of the educational institutions.
  • Also, each of the universities must have equipment, furniture and other immobile assets as per the rules as well as norms prescribed by the UGC.
